The Loyalhanna Review flew off the shelves this year, but we'll have the last few copies to give away free at the party. If you can't make it, check out the online version of the Review. The winners of LVW’s latest Halloween Flash Fiction contest are also posted on the website. (This year the contest featured werewolves and other shapeshifters. In 2010, we’ll seek stories about witches, warlocks, and wizards.)

August 7, 1-4 p.m.: Book and Art Fair at Ligonier Valley Library.
September 4: Deadline for submissions to Flash Fiction Contest (short-short stories about witches, warlocks, and wizards).
September 12, 3-5 p.m.: Annual picnic at St. Michael's Church, Rector.
September 18, 2010, 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Writers' Voice Series: Storytelling: Round Robin. Storytelling is a great family-oriented exercise. Each person in the circle contributes a sentence to the story. Though you might think chaos would result, some very coherent stories result from this. A faithful scribe will write everything down so it can be printed and given to participants. Instructor is Barb Miller.
